When blackbirds sing more than usual in the morning, rain is coming. When the rain arrives other birds fall silent, but the blackbird keeps singing, seemingly encouraged by the rain. It will sing through a storm with great passion. #FairyTaleTuesday #LegendaryWednesday

I've watched this too many times for my own good. But it is genius. #Mamet

Fantastic first show on @VirginRadioUK by @OfficialHuey today. Best bit? Apart from the setlist, which was of course perfect, it was Huey thanking us Boomers for working out how to change the channel on our digital radios. Dude, that's funny!

I’m so very sad about the passing of Molly Parkin. I loved her very much.

What a picture. Reminds me of one of my favourite novels, The Assistant by Bernard Malamud. Although in that novel, the shelves would have been almost bare.

I wonder if it might make it easier for you Owen, if we could encourage all Jews to wear something immediately recognisable like, I don’t know, making them wear a Star of David on their clothes. Apparently that was quite effective a few decades ago.
Spain, Slovenia, Ireland and the Netherlands are boycotting Eurovision in response. Britain must boycott Eurovision, too. Russia was rightly booted out in 2022. Israel has committed genocide. If Israel isn't booted out, then Eurovision will be ruined instead.

Just heard this on Guy Garvey on @BBC6Music - Jeremy Dutcher - Mehcinut (Official Music Video) https://t.co/BD1Jtvgab6. A death chant. Unforgettable.

Thank you @LinkedInUK for such a swift response, much appreciated.
Hi @LinkedInUK - for the second time in a month, someone has changed the password in my account and locked me out. You say I should change my password, but I can’t because I’m locked out. I have sent messages to you but you remain silent. Please contact me.

Such sad news. I remember reading V in the @LRB about a million years ago and being astonished by the craft and vision and skill. He was the true voice.
We are so sad to hear of the death of Tony Harrison. His work combines inspired poetic flight with demotic energy and a mastery of form. A towering figure, Faber has been publishing his work for stage and screen for over forty years. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
