Great to have you in Taunton Archdeaconry @BathWells
After 33 years of largely urban ministry, I am enjoying worshipping in a village church on Exmoor that attracts a bigger percentage of the local population than any church in my old archdeaconry. Here’s my take on why. @SimonJHill8 @BathWells :

Following some great workshops on generous church, the Growing Good Toolkit, growing faith with children & young people, discipleship & rural Fresh Expressions, the floor has been opened up for questions.

Witty, profound and inspiring - as ever
At the Festival of Preaching this morning the lecture by @DeanSouthwark was 'Inspiring and exuded the love that a preacher should have for their congregation'. #festivalofpreaching2024

Thank you St Francis Bridgwater. You certainly took note of the words "Let them eat cake." There was masses and it looked and tasted delicious.
Amazing welcome from St Francis, our next stop where the focus is praying for our community. We thank God for hospitality. And a helpful reminder from St Francis.

Moving moment. Ian has been an inspiration in leading the DBF and having a marvellous and graceful way of giving clear leadership combining vision, reality and God.
A well deserved standing ovation for DBF chair Ian Theodoreson, who has shared his intention to stand down. Our heartfelt thanks and prayers for him and to all those for whom this is their last synod.#DioSynod

A day in the life of a Bishop @BathWells
Bishop Michael asked the crowd at @glastonbury, "As you compare what it's like to be here with your existence back at home, what has being here said to you about what you value most? The kind of world you want to live in? The life you'd like to live?" https://t.co/NzjBfDsA8c

A wonderful morning in Wells for the Ordination of Deacon. We ask that God may guide them in their calling.

Prayers for treasurers across @BathWells and in particular for those who continue in role because locally no one else seems willing to take on the role.
God of all things, we pray today for PCC and Church Treasurers around our diocese as they faithfully seek to serve you and the mission of your church.

Over many months I have made my way through 700 pages and 500 years of Anglican writings and the quest for holiness -some familiar, some new. Finished it today. All entries serve to give an appreciation of the creative holding together of scripture, tradition and reason.

This is absolutely incredible!! @WellsCathedral1
A blast from the past: A few years back I stood outside Wells Cathedral for a full day and photographed the impact of the light on the front facade. I was amazed at the outcome - at how a single entity could morph and change under the changing light. #thread
