This morning, I attended the City of Lowell's Cambodian Flag Raising in honor of the start of Khmer New Year. Watched beautiful performances from LCCPS and LHS students. As well as the proclamation from Mayor Chau deeming April as Cambodian Heritage month in Lowell. 🇰🇭

On Thursday evening, I attended LCCPS' Learners to Leaders event as a first year member of the Friends of LCCPS Board. A beautifully crafted event bringing together community members to raise funds for future projects and programs. As an LCCPS alumni, I am proud to give back 🤝🏼

On Thursday Morning, I witnessed history in the making. The inauguration of our Chancellor Julie Chen. The first Asian-American and LGBTQ+ chancellor of UMass Lowell. As someone who identifies as both, I was deeply inspired to see someone who looked like me achieve such success.

On Wednesday, we hosted our 2nd annual Pen Pal Play Day ✉️. 120 students from the McAuliffe and Murkland Elementary school came to campus to finally meet their pen pal they've been writing to since September! Smiles and laughs all around!
