The internet, especially debate lords love to dog on people, do whatever they can to make someone look stupid about being wrong. So for a lot of people who touch grass they'd rather not deal with the hate mob that would get upset someone stood up to them.

Often it isn't that people agree with these far right individuals who loudly stake their claim to the community, rather it's more people not wanting to engage in conflict or discourse or in some cases not having the arguments to their positions to stand with.

As much as it seems that Vtubing is falling towards the far right on twitter and parts on YouTube, ultimately Vtubing is lead by it's talents and artists who are, unsurprisingly, usually left leaning to progressives.

The Froot escaping her abusive ex story honestly showcases internal misogyny within the vtuber community, not just amongst vtubers but fans too. Froot had 90 pages of evidence about her experiences and a good portion of the vtuber community still concluded with "Woman bad.".
