Although this may be a contributing factor, I do however find it astonishing that whatever problem arises within healthcare, it is nurses who are looked at first. Has Brexit not affected other professions, their skill mixes and numbers? And where do HEI's come into this?.
A shift in the UK nursing skill mix could have contributed to almost 1,500 additional patient deaths per year, a workforce study found. We asked our panel to what extent patient deaths can be blamed on these changes, or are more systemic issues at play?.
