GW 11, rank 813k: no transfer. Low scoring round, Trippier/Gordon home vs ARS mainly the cause of the red arrow. Trippier gets max bonus again, but NEW has many injuries so not sure I want to get them. The team looks okay.

GW 10, rank 536k: Tsimikas/Gabriel in, Udogie/Burn out. Gabriel has great fixtures, but worrying that he got benched vs SHU. Tsimikas is great value with Robertson out. Bowen hasn't been impressive.

GW 9, rank 692k: no transfer. Team was in very good shape after WC. Another close captain call with Salah getting the most points. Udogie subbed at 55 mins, but probably just a minor injury. I dislike playing with rotating keepers, should probably just play Areola every week.

GW 8, rank 1,3m: WC. Wildcarded as I felt my defence was a mess and to get price rises. Have to attack TOT and AVL easy fixtures. Considered 3-5-2 with Diaby, but he was a doubt in GW8 and Alvarez is a great player even if fixtures is tough. Lost a few coinflips again.

Gaw 7, rank 1,8m: Morris in, Archer out. DGW LUT/BUR. Almost certain I will WC GW8, so took a one week punt on Morris. I had Johnstone in goal all week since I believed MUN might struggle a bit vs CPL. Even though Turner was home to BRE, I don't think he is any good.

GW 6, rank 2m: Alvarez/Botman in, Jackson/Baldock out. Close between Trippier (got 3A and 18p) and Botman. Many I don't have deliviered: Son, Maddison, Salah, Mitoma, Bruno F. Sterling a bad pick, Chilwell benched again. Bleeding value and rank. Think I will WC soon.

GW 5, rank 1,6m: no transfer. Another bad GW. My defence is in trouble with both Estupinan and Chilwell benched. Thought about swapping Baldock for NEW def, as their fixtures is improving, but wanted one more week to assess. Jackson hasn't been impressive. Soon WC?

GW 4, rank 990k: Sterling in, Eze out. Sterling 3G GW3 and had some nice positions in GW2. CHE also very nice fixtures next 5 GWs. Eze also has good fixtures, but thought he didn't look that sharp last GW. Even though Eze got 8p in GW4, feel the transfer was ok. Son got 3G.

GW 3, rank 687k: Jackson/Foden in, Joao Pedro/Salah out. JP not a sure starter and Jackson has great fixtures. Salah is decent, but has a few tough fixtures, need to spread the funds and want Foden. My defenders have difficult matches, so might need to make defender trades soon.

GW 2, rank 339k: Mbeumo in, Foden out. Mbeumo was very good GW 1, striker and on penalties. Didn't like the look of Foden GW 1, so did the swap as I regretted not starting with Mbeumo. Also banked £1,0. But Foden was brilliant GW 2, so that didn't feel great.

GW 1, rank 464k: good start. Close to deadline I swapped benched Gabriel to Saliba, and B. Fernandes/Tarkowski to Foden/Chilwell due to news of Foden starting. Think going for Foden was too greedy. Really wanted Chilwell though, think maybe Mbeumo + £1.0m would have been better.

Lessons: unless leaks, avoid panic transfers very close to the deadline. Don't buy Ederson. I am not smarter than other good managers, listen to advice but also make own calls when justified. Start with players I believe in, don't be seduced by cheap prices (ex. 2*4,0 LEI GKs).

GW 38, rank 9k: Haaland/Mitoma out, Kane/Eze in -4. Haaland was out, so easy swap to Kane vs. LEE. Plan was to C Kane if I bought him, but swapped C late. Speculation that Mitoma was benched (he was). Got Eze 1 minute before the deadline. Shouldn't do panic moves. Good season!

GW 37, rank 8k: Alvarez in, Isak out. Big DGW. Isak was on the wing in DGW36 and NEW didn't have a double in 37 (H to LEI). City had a clear lead to the PL title and a DGW. Felt Alvarez had a decent chance for 130+ mins. The NEW CS hurt, but everyone else had DGWs/good fixtures.

GW 36, rank 10k: Isak/Mac Allister in, Watkins/March out. DGW BRI/NEW. March injured so did a straight swap. Red arrow from Wilsons 3G1A. I'm not sure I would have gone Wilson over Isak either way, but feel like I didn't do my due dilligence as I haven't watched much NEW lately.

GW 35, rank 9k: no transfer. Low scoring week. Just needed one more of my low EO players to get some returns. BRI losing 1-5 home to EVE was surprising. Makes Estupinan a bit worse ahead of 2 tough DGWs for BRI. I never pick the right keeper, hate having two rotating keepers.

GW 34, rank 8k: Greenwood/Salah/TAA in, Kane/Grealish/Henry out -4. DGW for LIV/MCI/BRI/MUN/+. Ederson benched last game, so keeper might become a problem if Kepa also loses his place. Didn't feel great to remove Grealish, but wanted Bruno more. Lucky that grealish didn't haul.

GW 33, rank 8k: no transfer. Considered whether or not to play the MUN guys over March/Botman, as NEW faced EVE home and Bruno was an injury risk. Think either call was okay. MCI vs. ARS, MCI often concede after they sub a few players when they lead by 2-3 goals, so went Kepa.

GW 32, rank 9k: FH. Jota/Ødegaard outperformed Jesus/Gakpo, but never really considered it. Wanted to go with CPL defender at home vs. EVE instead of Moreno at AVL vs. BRE. Should have bet on CPL CS, as BRE away was the tougher fixture. Was a mistake to not back the easy fixture.
