Huge LinkedIn Pet Peeve. Recruiters using buzz words & contextual fluff to propose "a great opportunity" for a "highly motivated go-getter" without actually describing the opportunity & insisting on a call without further info. ๐ง Anyone else??

Here is your sign to try making a new dish this weekend, and โจspice upโจ your lazy Sunday. This recipe took 20m to make and is officially my new fav for breakfast! #cilbir

We have our blinds down 80% of the time, so naturally, I was very shocked to open them this morning. Finally some snow! I've missed living in a winter wonderland. #Vancouver

Today's date is both a palindrome and ambigram! Which means you can read the date from left to right & from right to left PLUS also upside down!

Running social for a major brand is different than running social for a start-up... or a non-profit or a small business or a DTC brand or a local restaurant or a university or a government agency or a...whatever Take the advice that applies to you and don't worry about the rest.

Super popular opinion here, but did anyone else only dip into the #SuperBowl this year to judge all the commercials? #adbowl

Decided to dedicate the day to flexing the old creativity bone & make something inspired by some recent views a few kilometers north. Bet you won't guess BC's famous spot for my inspo!

So I know I'm a little late, but holy smokes was 2020 a crazy year. I never would have pictured I'd end up where I am today a year ago, but I'm so thankful for everything I've learned & experienced. Here is to hoping we are all safer, healthier & happier in 2021!

Me: Congrats America! Democracy has prevailed! I haven't been to the states since before the Cheeto was elected, but I'm happy to say I'm looking forward to visiting again soon in the future! Covid: ... ๐๐ Me: Oops, nevermind!

Something that I always tell myself before an interview: "This is just as much an interview for me as it is for the company." Remember, you want to find the right position with the right company. Do not forget to use the time as an evaluation the other way around as well!

I can smile, use my hands, and show interest better than with just an auditory call. (Not to mention, putting a face on a spooky voice of judgement makes the interview feel more personal and friendly.)

Sometimes I stutter, or take longer pauses during conversation - especially during a nerve wracking "evaluation". Without the visual, for me, it can make those stumbles in speach feel uncomfortable when I can't see their reaction. With video on, these moments feel less weird!

Being able to see the interviewer, and having them see you, can make the conversation easier for both parties. When body language & facial expressions come into play, it can increase your connection to the conversation, allowing you to create a stronger impression!
