Maizie Bailey’s high school career came to an end today at the TSSAA State Tournament. From averaging a 99 as a freshman to shooting a school record (-3) 69 as a junior and (-3) 33 for 9 holes as a senior, she had a remarkable career! @SiegelAthletics

Congratulations to Senior Mazie Bailey for qualifying for the @TSSAA State Golf Tournament. Mazie posted an 84 today at the Region Golf Tournament. She becomes the first @SiegelGolf athlete to qualify for the state tournament since Jessica Hoeft in 2021. Congrats Mazie!! #P2BASS

Both golf teams got it done today at the District Tournament. The girls finished 2nd as a team, while the boys finished 3rd, and both qualified for the Region Tournament on September 29th. Survive and advance!

The boys golf team beat Oakland today in our last regular season match. Trey Joiner shot 74 to lead the Stars. Maizie Bailey shot 78 for the girls team. @SiegelAthletics

Good round for the boys golf team today as they shot 173 at Old Fort. It wasn’t enough to beat PCA (163) and MTCS (167). Connor Baxter led the Stars with a 39. On the girls side, Maizie Bailey shot a 3-under par round of 33 in a great match with the Cipriano sisters from PCA.

Best round of the season for the Stars boys golf team today but it wasn’t enough to beat a talented Riverdale squad. The Warriors won 334-339 over the Stars.

We are underway here at the Region 5 Tournament.

Our season as a team came to an end today with a 4th place finish in the District Tournament. The guys missed out on 3rd by 6 shots. Maizie Bailey (4th) and Camden Williams (8th) each qualified for the Region Tournament next week at Long Hollow in Gallatin.

Camden put up a good enough number today to give himself a chance next Monday. He has made a mark on the program in his one year with us.

This wasn’t exactly the round Maizie wanted but it was enough to advance to her 3rd straight Region Tournament where she will have a chance to qualify for the TSSAA State Golf Tournament. I’m so proud of the work that Maizie has put in this year!

Maizie Bailey just carded a career best 69 (-3) today against Smyrna at Smyrna Golf Course! Maizie is putting in the work and it is paying off! This is the second time this golf season that she lowered her career best round. @SiegelAthletics @Coach_Wyant

Siegel boys pulled out another district win today against Central, 349-363. Camden Williams led the Stars with an 82. Maizie Bailey shot a 79 for the girls against the tough Central girls.

Siegel boys golf won a close one over Stewarts Creek today 364-368. Scores weren’t great, but a win is a win. However, Maizie Bailey shot a score that was great! She had an eagle on 18 to shoot a career best 74. Way to go Maizie! @SiegelAthletics @cecil_joyce @MartyMacPGAPro
