Notre Dame safety Tae Johnson saw what the Irish defense did last year and that’s what he wanted to be a part of. He’s excited this year’s defense is playing more at that level now. The Fort Wayne native also reflects on the impact @thejaylonsmith has had on him.

Dominant force off the edge! I’ve never seen so much energy and effort off the ball. He is asked to do a lot in terms of reads and responsibilities. He delivers week in and week out. He is a menace!

He’ll be a finalist for GN Lineman of the Year for sure.
Jarron is the most dominant player in the area on defense period. You can’t put a price tag on an anchor who can hold down the D Line. At 6’2” 265 lbs, his block recognition is the most impressive. It’s not just size! Read and react with a high motor.

Last week I had the great honor of presenting a Sagamore of the Wabash to Charlie Garner. Charlie is a 102-year-old World War II veteran from Syracuse, Indiana, who served in the U.S. Army, landing on Omaha Beach 10 days after D-Day and fighting in the Battle of the Bulge.
