The other thing is I think guys like Donovan Mitchell are gonna lose value. The smaller, non-defensive guard who can’t be your #1 playmaker. They’ve had to pair another small guard in Conley & Garland to make up for Mitchell’s lack of playmaking.

I actually think KD is right. The offense from the small guards need to be at a certain level (all-star probably) for it to make sense for them to have cover for the small guard defensively.

The point KD was making is that some of these small guards scoring 20 PPG, like McCollum for example, might not be the automatic start that they’ve been historically . He very obviously was not talking about Steph.

Sigh when KD was talking about 6'2" guards most likely not being able to start, he doesn't include generational offensive talents lol. It's guys like Tyus Jones, Cole Anthony, even guys like Simons, Coby White.
