Robert Bland DL represented the Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire at the re-opening of the @svrofficialsit1 .Following months of closure it is now fully operational with the most famous steam locomotive as its VIP guest The A3 Pacific No 60103 Flying Scotsman.

Newly-commissioned Deputy Lieutenant, Jo Baugh, attended her first solo engagement recently. Mrs. Baugh was appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant by the Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire on 23/5/25 and was officially presented with her commission at the Lord-Lieutenant’s Garden Party

The Lord-Lieutenant of #Shropshire, was pleased to attend Shropshire's Foster Carer Celebration. “I loved meeting the carers at the fostering celebration and hearing their stories; they are some of the most selfless and kindest people I have ever met.

Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire, Jenny Wynn OBE DL, thoroughly enjoyed meeting Scouts, Cubs & Beavers and their leaders/helpers from 2ND Wombridge Scout Group at Wombridge Primary School recently and joining in their with their fun day. (Though not the bush-tucker trials!)

Claire Brentnall DL represented the Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire at a long service award presentation in Much Wenlock recently. The event was to recognise the service of PCSO Malcolm Goddard who is retiring after 19 years in the Much Wenlock and Broseley areas. 1/2

Last week, HRH the Princess Royal returned to Shropshire. Part of the day was spent at HMP Stoke Heath where she was given a tour of the facilities that have been created and heard about programmes designed to support prisoner employment and resettlement.
