As Alison works through her council cataloguing, the fun finds tend to change form. She's made it to the surveyors section, and there are roads. The bundle has a fascinating name: "Selection of Promotional Material for Machinery and Road Surfacing Materials". [SCC1/E/1/3/17]

Taking care of our records means taking care of our stores as well! Every now and then we have a quick sweep of our stores to keep em spick n span, and this time round the lovely Stu was once more roped in. He even got the BYOB - bring your own broom!

On this day in 1971: Mr Jones stands with his flock, winners of the First Prize in the Wem Farmers' Competition. We imagine he's looking proudly on at them, misty eyed. [PH/S/14/1/326]
