What an afternoon for an unbelievable squad of footballers. Humble, hard working, committed, and terrific role models. They thoroughly deserve the opportunity to contest a national final. What a performance

Not meant to be today. However, we are so proud of how we played and despite the disappointment it was a day to remember. Special mention to the amazing support from our amazing community.

What an end to an amazing day for this unbelievable squad, the football club and the whole Salopian community. Thank you so much for all the support and messages of congratulations.
#floreatsalopia
So proud of this great group of lads. What a result but also what a performance under the pressure of a National Semi Final against a quality Wilmslow side. We now look forward to a day out at Stoke City
#Florestsalopia
On behalf of everyone at the Football Club and the players that have had the pleasure to play on our wonderful pitches, we say thanks to
@turfandy
on his final day. An absolute legend who will be sorely missed.
The 1st XI are into the semi final of the Boodles after a tough, competitive but well-deserved 5-3 victory AET against a talented
@Brentwood_Sport
side.
The 1st XI make it into the last 8 of the
@isfafootball
Boodles National Cup. Tough on our host
@qe_sports
after the game was settled on penalties. As always a wonderful place to play football and always great hosts. Good luck for the rest of the season.
We can’t be any more proud of our boys today. To reverse a heavy defeat earlier in the season to then lose on penalties today was a monumental effort. The lads couldn’t have given any more for their team mates and the School.
#FloreatSalopia
Win or lose today, it’s been an incredible
@SchoolsFootball
cup run.
What a privilege to see this amazing squad of players develop over the season and we wish them the best of luck in today’s final!

A busy Saturday ahead as we have a 15 team block against our good friends
@BradfieldXI
. 6th form sides and U14 teams at Shrewsbury, KO 2-15pm with the U15 & 16 sides at Bradfield. 1st XI changing room ready for our first Hudl league game of the season.
An honour for us to host the international game between
@isfafootball
and
@SchoolsFootball
U18 sides this afternoon that ended 3-3. It was also terrific to have Harry and Oli involved in the game who then received their international caps after the final whistle.

Our Senior Girls XI are through to the next round of the
@isfafootball

This afternoon, the girls won 3-0 with goals from Rosie M, Kate W and a screamer from Liv W! Well done girls!🔥
Thank you
@CheadleHulmeSch

Just reading through a wonderful match day programme for our
@isfafootball
Boodles Semi Final tomorrow. What a terrific job by Lewis E who produced it, potential career in journalism awaits.
Wonderful to witness this group of girls playing football on Top Common with our very first U14 girls goal being scored by Ariana

Tough one to take this afternoon. However, we can look back with pride at a terrific cup run. On the back of last years quarter final we should be proud of what we have achieved.

So proud of our 1st XI as we make it into the last 8 of the
@SchoolsFootball
National Cup against an excellent
@AGSBSport
side. Despite not being at our best at times today, we were thankful for 3 fantastic penalty stops from Will as we won the shoot out 2-0
#weareshrewsbury
Exciting times ahead next season as we will have access to our new 3G AstroTurf to use alongside our wonderful grass pitches, including a newly renovated senior, and new drainage on pitches 5 & 6.

Two very competitive games against
@reptonfootball
this week. Great opportunity to get the lads some minutes as well as the opportunity to assess the squads ability to implement a variety of tactical challenges set to them.
What a day to play our best football of the season so far. A 3-2 win against Thomas Telford after extra time sees the 1st XI make it into the semi final of the County Cup.
Great to watch former 1st XI captain Oli S football development journey continue as he made his Newton debut in the Cymru Premier league fixture v Caernarfon Town last Saturday. Well done Oli and we hope lots more appearances to follow.
Sometimes in life you don’t get what you deserve. However, we can’t be any more proud of this group of boys. Given everything all season and can be truly proud of what they have achieved. We go again next year with all our age groups
#playerdevelopment
It’s always nice to start the league season with a decent performance, both in and out of posssesion. Two excellent finishes from Harry and Fadi and a disciplined defensive performance in the second half was enough to give us a winning start to our
@ISL20_21
campaign.
Always a huge honour to host
@isfafootball
as they played an international against the
@WelshSchoolsFA
today. It was also great to have Oli, Oscar and Louis as part of the winning squad. Reward for their hard work and dedication this year.

It’s always a pleasure to challenge ourselves against the best sides in the country. Today is no different as we take on
@millfieldfoot
@ Evesham Utd. Although disappointing not to be welcoming Millfield to Shrewsbury this year its great to get the game played!
An unbelievable afternoon of education for our 6th form footballers from
@SoccerLtd
@Mike_Phelan_1
&
@HorrocksDavid
discussing our playing philosophy, roles and responsibilities of players in and out of possession and a look at multi disciplinary opportunities in elite sport!
On the eve of the ESFA National final, we would like to thank everyone for the good luck messages that have been sent in. It will be a wonderful occasion for our community and we thank you in advance for the amazing support we know we will receive tomorrow

Two great ⚽️ competitions get underway today - the FA Cup &

A strong learning performance against a top academy side at
@Rovers
at the end of a physically and technically tough, but enjoyable, development week.
As the dust settles after a hard fought victory today, our 1st XI can look back on an unbeaten
@ISL21_22
season. We need results to go our way next Saturday for us to win the league but it’s been a terrific campaign whatever the result next week.

Great to see 1st XI captain Finn and goalkeeper Ben feature today for
@isfafootball
in a 3-1 win against Sheffield United. Unfortunately Guy missed out after an injury on Tuesday v STFC. Not long now to our Boodles Semi Final for these lads!
For the first time on the new Porthill pitch, our 5 girls’ houses battled it out in an inter-house football competition! Sunshine and sportsmanship all around. Well done girls! 🙌🏻⚽️

We are so proud of this group of lads, they never know when they are beaten. Despite losing JP last night to a broken ankle, being pegged back to then dominate the extra time period shows what they are capable of!

As the dust settles on a busy term, we can look back with pride on what’s been achieved this term at all ages and levels. It’s nice to also have a Boodles semi final to look forward to at 1st XI level next term

Huge congratulations to
@shrewsburyschPH
who have been victorious in all 3 Football Knock Out competitions this year. A fantastic achievement from all involved. Well done!
Terrific effort from the 1st XI to claim another 3 pts in the Hudl League v Repton. First half we were excellent and could have added to the 2 we scored. However, we needed a terrific penalty stop and had to withstand a very good Repton 2nd half performance to claim the points.
A big thank you to
@turfandy
for all his hard work in preparing the best pitch on the independent circuit for our lads to play on. An absolute pleasure to work with
#legend
Congratulations to Josiah Chilaka (School House) who has been selected in the ISFA Under 18 National representive side. Thoroughly well deserved and a huge honour
@ShrewsburySport
Congratulations to Josiah Chilaka on receiving his
@isfafootball
international cap this afternoon. To top it off Josiah scored the opening goal in a 4-0 win v the Welsh Schools FA Under 18.
After our win yesterday in the last 16 of the Boodles
@isfafootball
U18 National Cup, we look forward to welcoming
@BradfieldXI
in the Quarter Final after Xmas.
Really proud of the squad today. For 30 mins in the first half we were magnificent against a top City of London side. The 2nd half saw us having to defend a lot more but we managed to get over the line. Last 16 draw tomorrow night at 8-00pm.
A really professional performance this afternoon both with and without the ball. Nothing better than playing at home with great support. A second quarter final in last two years is the result of the hard work of the players on the training field.

Great to see former 1st XI footballer
@PunnSV
, who came to support this morning and give us an update on his footballing progress. Some really positive moments in todays game, with our goals coming from Tom G, Louis C and captain Oli S.
The highlight of our 2022/23 season has to be the Boys' 1st XI's run to the ESFA Final held at Stoke City's Bet365 Stadium.
Here's a look back at the epic Semi-Final against Brooke House College that got us there.
#FloreatSalopia
So pleased for the 1st XI lads this afternoon who have got the rewards for their continued commitment and faith in our development programme. A second County Cup Final in 3 years is a wonderful effort.
The 1st XI make it into the last 16 of the
@isfafootball
Boodles National Cup after a hard fought, competitive 80 minutes of football v
@ForestSchSport
.
So proud of our girls 1st XI who played their first competitive
@isfafootball
U18 game yesterday against a quality
@ReptonGFC
side. There were so many positives from the performance and so much to be enthusiastic about as we launch of our girls programme in January.
The U14s played their first match at home today. In a really competitive fixture, they beat Madeley High School with Bella scoring a hat trick! They’re through to the next round of the
@sistersnsport
cup! Well done girls! 👊🏼⚽️
On Saturday, our U15 Girls had their first fixture of the term against
@OswestrySchool
in the first round of
@isfafootball
.
In a very competitive match,
@ShrewsburySch
came away victorious winning 4-2 (AET).
Thank you
@OswestrySport
for being incredible hosts! 🙌🏻⚽️
Another 3 points in the Hudl League this afternoon for our 1st XI after a 2-1 win v Ardingly. It was a tough, competitive encounter which we had to really dig deep and battle. 1 game down, 3 to go.
Congratulations to Finn Sansom who represented
@isfafootball
U16’s in the international v Australia Schools on Sunday. Recognition for all Finn’s hard work and dedication.
As always a really exciting, goal packed 90 minutes against a decent
@Charterhousespo
side this afternoon. A 3-3 draw was probably a fair result on the balance of play and chances for both sides. We wish our hosts good luck for the remainder of the season.
Our Senior and Junior Girls came out on top this afternoon after playing with great integrity and spirit!
The 1st XI look forward to their next
@ShropshireFA
league match on Wednesday and the U15s progress to the next round of
@SchoolsFootball
