This week last year marks the day i my job in the theatre came to a end because they were shut down. At home , 4 days later I became severely ill , thanks to the NHS I survived - I now have a vaccine date. Overwhelmed and emotional.

It’s nearly a year ago I was suffering from secondary infection in my case pneumonia as a direct result of contracting covid 19 . I just want to say thank you to to the out of hours young duty doctor who I believe saved my life despite the risk to herself . Thank you .

So my vaccination ( Saturday ) by Sunday I was exhausted slightly nauseous , a bit of a headache couldn’t sleep and then I was out like a light and woke i up an hour ago I feel fine , physically, fine now . Im glad and so grateful had it and hopeful for my second round .

Devastating, thinking of my late father who literally gave his life to the NHS for his patients , with probably all of this struggle - I’m glad this Dr was supported - my heart breaks for him his despair as his ethos and values come into question How much more can we tolerate.
