This is so concerning and I don’t think we can chalk it all up to misinformation. When I speak to people about vaccination, I learn that they have experienced a profound loss of trust in public health.

It's interesting to consider that school vaccination in Scandinavia is entirely voluntary (see Sweden below) yet they in general have very high rates of childhood vaccination. I think parents are desperately seeking information & education over coercion.

This may indeed be the biggest harm done by the pandemic. I lost my trust in “school medicine” and I am not sure if that is a good or a bad thing.

Can relate to this. In ID clinic, this seems to be a common theme. They specifically talk about vaccines in low risk populations ( kids) and the boosters and how the messaging has been bungled. Time to come clean and take a hard look for public health authorities.

There is a difference between being opposed to mandates and being opposed to vaccinations. The UK does not have compulsory vaccines for school attendance. Last I checked, their rates are not that different from the US.

Alas not the people I meet/interact with. They are either proud of, or looking forward to, their 5th shot(!). Very upsetting. And the "horse dewormer" myth is still alive and well after I mention that IVM knocked out my C-19 symptoms in 4 days... ugh. Fg hopeless.

Indeed we have. The disregard for the truth traded for political agendas is too much. Luckily even though my trust is gone and I’ll never believe a doctor or public health again without my own substantial research, I know the standard non-Covid vax are critical for kids
