I'm afraid. I'm very afraid of the future, what the monsters will need to be equal to us, what the design of the game will need to keep us interested, what the game will evolve into if Focus Mode is still there. I wish Focus mode never existed, because now I'm scared

It's good because it makes so anyone can get into the game and see results, so they can have an easier learning curve. But it makes the hunters way too opressive for the monsters, it makes so you can turn off one of the hardest things to focus on (pun intended)

That's the issue! It's WAY TOO GOOD! One of the most difficult walls of MH is camera control, positioning, weapon angle, monster tracking, hunter tracking. All of it, it's LITERALLY gone, Focus allows you to simplify the combat from 100 to 20, and this is both good and bad

This one actually I would like to quote it: I think Focus mode is amazing, very well designed on its purpose, it makes the whole gameplay smooth and allows you to flow the weapon moveset in incredible ways never seen, one of the most impressive features of Wilds. BUT ⬇️
@Shincry What's your take on Focus Mode? Do you like using it? Do you think it's a meaningful addition? Would you change anything about it? Should it return in future titles?

Won't be able right now but after returning from the MHFesta and resting a bit... I will try to make the moveset/AI comparison with the normal Nu Udra as I did with AT Rey Dau!

This is gonna be a "long" thread about MH armor skill points system. Has no intention to criticize in a negative way and i'm not looking for drama either. But I thought it might be interesting to share it and perhaps, see if there is anyone else who shares that sentiment.

Not only that, I don't think nullifying the whole mechanic is also the best idea I think the best way to design it is making the whole mechanic less dangerous for the hunter, but still dangerous. For example, I would have kept the damage over time aura, but with less ticks

I think Monster Hunter is at its best when it includes a mechanic that makes you deal with your equipment, it keeps the otherwise almost non-existent preparation relevant That said, I don’t think it should be as easy as two 1-slot jewels; that’s way too easy and lenient
It's funny how everyone Is saying AT Nu Udra Is "Meh" since adaptability removes His Main ginmick, Yet I can only think how the same happened with AT Vaal Hazak in World and Effluvium Resistance 3

Mmm… Grilled squid skewer 🤤 Not only this is the best AT so far but also it got an spot in my top favourite hunts of the franchise AT Nu Udra is REALLY good 100% sure I could get the sub 8 but I must set everything ready for the Paris Games Week! 🙌

I was having a perfect run with AT Nu udra, but I got him so low in the nest, that instead of going to the usual place, it decided to go to another map for vacations 🤨
