The finance change was in the pipeline for sometime. Likely personality clashes and performance related.

They say "there are no permanent enemies, and no permanent friends, only permanent interests". Five years ago, Amupanda accused Swapo of being “corrupt". Now, the red Polo is cruising with Swapo. Political dynamics to keep an eye on — even in parliament
Affirmative Repositioning (AR) leader Job Amupanda has defended supporting Swapo to regain influence in some authorities where coalition agreements were required for councils to function. https://t.co/Wv3KuI20mH

Thank you, @TangeniAmupadhi, for leading with excellence and standing tall in truth, even when truth was unwanted. From the sandy paths of Amilema a village right next to ours ‘Onakalunga, your work stirred something in me, urging me upward to dreams I once thought distant.

@ShinOvene With 55% of the population unemployed, and many many of the employed earning next to nothing, there’s major affordability issues. Add to that insane and archaic laws and perverse incentives from municipalities to undersupply land, and you end up in the mess we are in.

We’ve explained the problem & solution to this issue for over a decade. A dramatic increase in the supply of serviced land is critical (& achievable). However, municipal monopolies, archaic laws, broken processes & perverse incentives keep supply limited & housing unaffordable.
If NSA stats are to go by: Only about 2% of Namibians can afford a N$1.4 million house — meaning it is beyond the reach of 98% on a single income. A crisis!
