What a beautiful day it was for some Bolden Little League Baseball!. Over the weekend, I had the privilege to throw out the first pitch to kick off the 2025 season. This collaboration between LVMPD and local businesses allows children to play baseball free of charge.

We held a moment of silence for Ofc. Colton Pulsipher who died in 2024 in a head-on crash on I-15 while driving home from work. We are thinking of his wife and young family.

RED LIGHT CAMERAS: It is something I am fighting for. I am tried of picking up people off the roads. I am going to do everything in my power to make a change this legislative session toward this effort.

Now looking onto 2025: We have a lot of challenges and the political climate is dynamic and changing. LVMPD continues to follow the law and protect the community. We face economic headwinds ahead. But we will NOT lay anyone off. We will get through it.

#BREAKING We are also announcing two new expansions of LVMPD presence. We will soon have #HollywoodAreaCommand on the east side of Las Vegas and a substation in #SkyeCanyon in the far northwest valley

@lvmpd_dispatch Now, at the Clark County Detention Center, we are approaching incarceration differently. We are bringing in resources, housing resources, whatever we can do to get these people back on their feet and break the cycle of incarceration. We cannot arrest our way out of this problem.

CAO Kilber is discussing @lvmpd_dispatch. When I took officer, the center was depleted to about 50% staffing. Today, we are 100% staffed. As of Jan. 2025, we answering 911 calls at an average 2-second wait time.

CAO Kilber acknowledges my wife, Retired Deputy Chief Kelly McMahill for her efforts and for the early vision that we needed to take better care of our officers.

CAO Kilber is introducing our members of clinicians, peer support, and it is led by Dr. James Tenney. We are currently seeing about 425 people per month. Peer Support makes approximately 1,000 contacts per month.

UP NEXT: Chief Administrative Officer James Kilber is addressing how we are taking better care of our officers better than we ever have before. In 2024, we opened up our new #WellnessBureau building! We are making a huge impact with more and more people are coming for treatment.
