@SpyHards Shatner and Nimoy play that scene beautifully.

@ShempMeister Have you ever seen the original Where The Red Fern Grows? If anyone cried about Old Yeller, this movie will absolutely *devastate* you.

@theknightshift No, first I've heard of it. Not sure if I'm emotionally ready for it though. My dear boy Ollie passed on last October so I've been avoiding movies where dogs die. Still pretty raw, but thanks for the heads up though.

@CountGeekula At the time we had no idea Nimoy would return to the role, so it did hit extra hard.

@hangonjames1967 Yep, cried like a baby. I always do in any film like that.

@RealTonyNasser Totally with you there, especially Pa Kent's death.

@ShempMeister I tried to read the novelization of this with my family. I was a child and couldn’t read it without breaking down. My father picked up the book and continued to read. And weep. He was reading about a friend dying. And sacrifice. And he never wiped a tear. Taught me to avoid shame

@_GunneR_AlphA_ I had the book before I saw the film (still have it). Read it only halfway through before I saw the film as I didn't want to know the ending.

@lovlotr Yes. Leonard's passing was like the death of a Beatle for me.

@mcminiapple That's probably one of the most traumatic ones most people remember who saw it as a kid. Even as an adult it's a tearjerker.
