Children in Y3, Y4 and Y5 have enjoyed a virtual author event with @StephenMulhern He invited the children in Y4 to participate in a live magic trick! It was really fun and enjoyed by everyone involved or watching. Thank you to @read_holmfirth for organising this magical event 🪄

In Computing lessons, Year 4 have been exploring the difference between the internet and the World Wide Web (www.). We have mind-mapped different devices that can access the World Wide Web and thought about how we access it on a daily basis.

Year 3 were lucky enough to participate in a yoga session on World Mental Health Day. This allowed us to really think about how we can use breathing techniques to help us to relax and regulate. Thank you for organising this for us, Mr Pritchard!

In Science this week class Beck have been learning about woodland habitats. Today in forest school we went on a woodland scavenger hunt to see what we could find in our school woodland. We found different types of flowers, leaves and bark. We saw birds flying and found minibeasts

We've been fortunate enough to have received a generous gift of laptops from Wordsworth Excavations and Microworld .The impact this will make to IT lessons and on the children's technology skills is huge We are all genuinely touched and so very appreciative. Thank you so much!

Yesterday, these girls took part in the Shelley Pyramid Y2 and Y3 Girls Football tournament.They all showed team spirit and did a great job taking turns in different positions and we came 5th overall out of 8 teams.

What did Stone Age people use to make paints? Year 3 had great fun collecting some different natural materials such as leaves, blackberries and petals to create their own paints. We also explored how we could make different colours using some herbs and spices. Cave paintings next
