If you’re looking for the perfect program; it doesn’t exist. Be realistic about your goals & expectations when evaluating programs. The reality of it is, everybody isn’t meant to go to big time universities. Go where you can grow, mature, and learn! Everything else is secondary.

As a young DB coach I struggled with throwing guys to the wolves by asking them to do grand-scheme, bigger picture drills rather than teaching & emphasizing small-scale movements.
This is my favorite way to clean up footwork on breaks & teach guys to break efficiently.

I can tell you 1 thing in utmost confidence and transparency; played several St. Andrews reps for my overhangs to watch & eval. Not to say we weren’t any good, but so that they could LEARN!

As a coach, I’ve found that I now love the things that I didn’t prioritize or understand as a player. Film study, engage w/ the playbook, board time, etc.
I am currently a HS football coach I’ve hung my cleats up and picked up my whistle I love what I do 🤞🏾as much as I miss the game I love it through my guys now!!! ❤️🩶
