Which of these feels the most nostalgic to you,
#Amiga
peeps of past and present?
I started with KS 2.04, so I never saw the V1.X screen back then. My first mental image of Amiga is always rooted in the purple screen.

If I remember rightly my first A500 had KS 1.2. My 2000 had 1.3 which I added a rom switcher and 2.04. I could then switch between 1.3 and 2.04 using the mouse buttons on boot up. The disk image though remains more nostalgic.
@retroguybry
I see the rom switchers advertised in old Amiga mags and now they''d absolutely be something I'd go back in time and recommend young Sharka ask for. And a hard drive.
@Crashedfiesta
Nice! I briefly had an A500+ and then an A600 after the 500+ packed up two days after being bought and had to be returned. ๐My parents bought a 1200 instead and handed their 600 down to me.
@SharkaBytes
I started with A500+, so always gravitate towards 2.0+ and the purple boot screen. I actually find the 1.x Workbench and 1.x boot screen a bit cringe-worthy.
@rtid75
Yeah, it doesn't hold much nostalgia for me since I started off with a 600. It does feel a bit rough to me compared to the animated purple loveliness.

My

had the 1.1 & 1.2 KS Disks until I did the daughterboard to add the KS 1.2 ROM, so 1.x will always have the original nostalgia feel. It's very strange to see all 3 now on my 1000 thanks to the switch selectable ROM on the Parceiro 2 card, but I love the bootable SD/HD!
@danjmcs
xD That is so cool. I wasn't as savvy with the technical and upgrading side of Amiga back then as I am now. Is it the same 1000 you've always had?
@SharkaBytes
The one on the left for my A500.
Then:
Starglider 2
Xenon II
Speedball 2
Carrier Command
Revelation and fascination coming from the 32k beeb.
@Strontelius
Oof, that's a tasty lineup of games to kick off with. And yeah, I came to Amiga from C64, so had a generational leap and shock of the new too. I have a vivid memory of my jaw dropping the first time I saw and heard the title screen of Alien Breed Special Edition '92.
