A visit to our sister company @ShannonvaleTube on a beautiful but bitterly cold day. Always a pleasure to see them in Clonakilty, Co. Cork, Ireland. They’re doing some amazing things producing glass composite and carbon fibre tubes for the Irish, U.K., European and U.S. markets.

We love tubes - it’s what we do for a living, but this is something else!

A fin whale bonanza! On this mornings (Aug 18th) trip from Courtmacsherry we estimate we encountered a minimum of 15 and potentially over 20 fin whales. We used to hear reports of these numbers over 15 years ago, but in recent years a pod of 5 would have been big.

Rare drone footage of a humpback whale feeding near Courtmacsherry, West Cork. Today’s trip was one that will live long in the memory. We followed “Boomerang” for 20 mins. He eventually located a huge bait ball. You can watch what happened next. Enjoy!
