This but instead of making duplicate running animations, you do a basic additive that can be reused anywhere. Same result but can be recycled and adjusted for different animations and states. And it doesn't cause issues if your character uses a full body IK setup
The turning while running is made with 3 animations (run forward, left, and right). IK keeps the foot in place whenever the foot is on the ground. The system is very simple, it's just a lot of adjusting to make sure the IK isn't too strong, the leaning looks good, etc
