Right Direction to truly reform WHO from a top heavy structure with two-way mobility with real feild experience & skiiks to prioritize work embedded as an insider within national public health stuctures systems&institutions.

Not disease it is about Injury&Trauma and lack of access to emergency & critical care and surgery and anaesthesia. WHO focus on diseases is missing the emergency need and demand now. https://t.co/7q09vx9HCl

More scientific estimates and misinformation by armchair researchers supporting the global drug industry and are not able or willing to work in countries to support clinical and public health medical practice to generate real surveillance and inforomation

Over 1.05 million deaths were associated with antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and 250,000 deaths were attributable to AMR in the WHO African region, posing an unprecedented health threat.

WHO must be in another world as the countries in Northern Hemisphere stuggle with winter epidemics of COVID-ARI & other respiratory infections while Africa struggles with continued burden of malaria. No PHC or PH in 2024?- Keeping the hope for health alive

Back to free education, the past success and legacy of Zimbabweans. Political priorities & education management can deliver the required resources
🔴GOVERNMENT has said its earlier plans to roll out free #education needs consideration and requires serious resource mobilisation strategies. https://t.co/M5QzXnLboM

Disasters are excuses for failure decades of large private-public health financing, like GAVI &GFnot building sustainable public health Immunisation programmes and Primay Health Care & Public Health Systems towards Health for All https://t.co/s6mGtqiRTK
A cocktail of disasters, from COVID-19 to Cyclone Freddy, has led to a precipitous increase in unimmunised children in Mozambique. This month they launched a new plan to turn things around:

Guardian is directly or indirectly captured by private sector malaria vaccine&drug manufacturers. Unlike education, there appears to be no separate section on health. No oversight on global public health medical epidemiology on clinical medicine in Africa? https://t.co/1cmeiqW8ub

Trials are under way for a treatment for newborns and infants, who are often wrongly assumed to have immunity through their mothers

Decades of millions donated and spent in and by GAVI the result is we continue to struggle with old infections e.g measles, rabies, yellow fever, cholera etc with too many unaffordable& partially effective new vaccines & weak national Immunisation programs https://t.co/3Wo6oUaZGg
2023 leaves the Vaccine Alliance “better equipped to continue to champion of the transformative power of solidarity, partnership and compassion” - Gavi CEO David Marlow explains why:

World Development Report should be unbiased by UNDP and lack of World Health Report by WHO is a major global public health gap. https://t.co/hQWkxjxO2F
There are 184 million migrants + refugees worldwide. That's ~2.3% of the world’s population. The World Development Report 2023 highlights strategies for #BetterMigration to support development & sustainable growth ➡️ https://t.co/eEG19y1EjD

Dengue Epidemiology has shown an increasing trend for past 3 decades or more like malaria& respiratory infections due to a lack of coredinated&integrated effective&efficient WHO Global Public Health Programmes and lack of focus on revitalising Primary Health Care&Health for All

WHO resolution be followed through with IFRC,IRC,MSF,&Others to rapid implementation with WHO Global Programme:Palestine ,Sudan, Yemen, Myanmar,Ukraine etc towards all health facilities& health professionals a neutral zone in internal&external conflict
I thank the @WHO Member States for adopting the resolution on access for life-saving aid into #Gaza and respect for laws of war. The resolution is a starting point. It does not resolve the crisis. But it is a platform on which to build. Without a ceasefire, there is no peace.

WHO Global Public Health Leadership.Priority is access to Surgical&Anaesthesia Services to address injury&Trauma. This should be part of WHO Global Programme to address the major global gap in Surgical,Obstetric and Anaesthesia Services
Yesterday, @WHO and partners in #Gaza managed to deliver essential trauma and surgical supplies to Al-Ahli hospital to cover the needs of 1500 people, and to transfer 19 critical patients. This was another very high-risk mission in the vicinity of active shelling and artillery

👍👌WH0 should develop a universal strategy, norms, standards, and urgent emergency follow-up implementation of public health neutrality of all health institutions and health professionals in civil, international conflict areas.

Malaria vaccine is another campaign to use Africa as a Global Health Market. Same model as deacdes of dumping mosquito nets in Africa with no impact on malaria incidence and prevalence
Great news: More than 330,000 doses of WHO-recommended RTS,S #malaria vaccine arrived last night in #Cameroon 🇨🇲 This is a historic step towards broader vaccination against one of the deadliest diseases for African children. More information: https://t.co/hC9RjKVry3

Malaria vaccine is again using Africa as a global health market and increasing debt burden&Aid dependency like the multi-million dollar campaign with mosquitos nets over the last decade with no impact. We now wait for the HIV vaccine approved by WHO.
World’s 1st WHO-recommended malaria vaccine, RTS,S, arrived this week in Yaoundé, Cameroon-first to a country not previously involved in the malaria vaccine pilot programme. Campaigns across highest-risk areas on the African continent will begin shortly
