Here is my opinion. As a dev, it is difficult to pick a side. @berachain @0xPolygon @SonicLabs decide to help affected users “in their own ways”. Another side is @ethereum, which is where 80-90% of the stolen funds settle on, not taking part on compromising the decentralization

To understand why all the $S in the hacker wallet is set to a ZERO, I took a look at @SonicLabs official github (link in comment). It is the newly implemented security policy where the foundation has authority to freeze a certain wallet account. There is a new smart contract

@SonicLabs Does it mean the foundation can set any wallet balance to zero?.......maybe. This is an emergency. Have to admit that the @SonicLabs dev team is fast.

So $S @SonicLabs has wiped out all $S / wS holding of the hacker. He swaped some of $stS to S. Now that S holding is Zero!

Now you know why DeFi innovations stuck. A single tiny hole leads to a full drain of user funds. The worst part--> even the dev can only pray for recovery, which is the downside of being decentralized and immutable. A sad day

This is a continuous 'buy high and sell low'. Each time liquidity is moved, LP faces permanent loss. There are good use cases, but not for volatile asset pairs...like this one.
