@SethLogue27 Individualized programming was key in helping @AdamBuczkowski4 build his routine. Plyo’s ❌ Med Balls ✅ Long Toss ❌ Athletic Throwing ✅ Water Bags ❌ CVB ✅ Recently have added some long toss variations w/ some weighted baseballs into constraints. 2026 gonna be crazy 👀😈

We’ve got a couple more tricks up our sleeve for the 2026 season with Adam that could take him to an even higher level📈📈 @CoachSheriffUC

Adam has taken another step this fall ⬇️ Fall 2025 Stats .026 BAA .105 SLG 42.2% overall WHIFF% 51.5% Slider WHIFF% 40.8% Slider in-zone WHIFF% 45.5% K%

Lastly, we moved Adam from the first base side of the rubber to the extreme third base side to create extremely uncomfortable angles for a hitter.

Not to mention he has a bowling ball sinker which regularly has negative vertical break and averages ⬇️ 88.6 -1.4 IVB 10.9 HB

This lead to some really impressive results with his slider in his freshman year ⬇️ .157 BAA .243 SLG 41.9% K% 35.8% WHIFF% 22.4% In-zone WHIFF%

It has even reached 17 inches of vertical break which is mind boggling for a slider ⬇️. This led to him being one the highest ranked pitchers in college baseball in terms of STUFF+.

With this adjustment came a truly unicorn-like pitch. From the hitters perspective, it looks like it rises which defies what almost anyone else can do with a baseball besides Adam. It has allowed us to attack hitters with it at the top of the zone.

After dropping down, we first wanted to tinker with his SL shape. It was very cuttery and was not eliciting much swing and miss and weak contact. A simple grip change led to these results⬇️

Adam Buczkowski Development Adam got to campus in ‘24 as a guy with two different arm slots. After some time, we ended up dropping him down and the results have been ridiculous. 🧵

Best place to develop🔥🌪️ @CoachSheriffUC @SethLogue27
Nate Taylor Development He came to UC in ‘23 as a raw but talented freshman. He always had an ability to throw strikes but no offspeed to get hitters out at the B12 level. We worked on pitch design and cleaning up some mechanical deficiencies to help him throw a tick harder. 🧵

Made some big moves with Nate since his first fall but we’re not even loose yet. Got a few things up our sleeve for 2026 🔥⛽️🌪️

These changes helped Nate lower his ERA from a 5.45 his freshman year to a 3.93 his sophomore year. They helped Nate go deeper in games, garner more WHIFF, and cement himself as a top 100 college prospect for the 2026 MLB Draft. And we’re not even loose yet👀 @CoachSheriffUC

Through some plyo drills, a simpler start to his delivery, getting his direction corrected, and an emphasis on pimping the finish he has been able to improve his stuff and performance. 90➡️96

Mechanically, Nate would get very squatty in his delivery/shorten his back leg in the early part of his throw. He also would get quad dominant as he moved down the mound causing consistency issues.

We also tinkered with his CH to help his FB and SL play better to give him a quality third offering to keep hitters off balance. CH Freshman year ➡️ now 81.7 ➡️ 87.7 12.7 IVB ➡️ 5.9 IVB 15 HB ➡️ 12.2 HB

The uptick in velo, changing the shape from cuttery to gyro, alongside his elite extension (~7 feet) made his SL perform at an elite level in 2025 garnering a 40% WHIFF%. He is a natural pronator which made it for him to get feel for this pitch almost immediately. 80➡️86
