One thing I forgot to ask UCLA women’s volleyball coach Alfee Reft (off camera) is why PK Kong didn’t play. It could’ve been because Reft, like he said, is still figuring out which players he wants playing or maybe PK is hurt/sick. Sadly we won’t know and I’m sorry for not asking.

Okay, Long Beach State had 1 kill in the 5th set. But still. One kill in a deciding 5th set is not going to get it done for the Beach. That said, it’s a long season. I’m certain this Long Beach State can do big things this year (hopefully for their sake).
