From maize to mammalian cells, the next frontier is in multi-scale integration and automation. And meeting those challenges to accelerate drug discovery will require out-of-the-box thinking. I am beyond excited to explore automation in biology across systems!

Somebody is giving students terrible advice on how to get into grad school. It's not the fault of students that write canned, generic, cut-and-paste "perfectly aligned with my interests" emails, it's the people that advise them to do it.
