Out today – significantly revised guideline for imposition of community and custodial sentences. Our aim is to make sure courts have the most comprehensive information so they can impose a tailored sentence that is the most appropriate for the offender and the offence 1 /3.

New motoring offences guidelines out today for four aggravated vehicle taking offences and vehicle registration fraud. Also new, an overarching guideline on driver disqualification and a higher starting-point fine for drivers caught using a mobile phone
