I was honored to have firefighters from Wheeling Firefighters Association Local 3079 stop by my Capitol office while they were in town for a legislative conference to celebrate National EMS week. I am thankful for their dedication and service to our community.

#NationalPoliceWeek is a time for reflection, honor and gratitude. Let's take a moment to thank those who put their lives in danger to protect and serve our communities and honor the hard work, dedication and sacrifice of our police officers.

It was great to meet students from Lake Forest Country Day School during Tech Day in the Capitol. The 6th grade students used AI to produce images of Mt. Rushmore with diverse American leaders. I enjoyed meeting their team from Northbrook.

It was a pleasure to participate in the annual @ilparkdistricts conference. On the panel I spoke about ways leaders from each park district can advocate for facilities within their community. This legislative session, I continue to sponsor measures that support local parks.
