Soybean farmers are caught in the crossfire of the administration’s trade wars. Farmers deserve more than a temporary solution – we need to end these reckless tariff policies and ensure that farmers do not lose key export markets.

.@ASA_Soybeans President Caleb Ragland said it best: “It's a perfect storm of high costs and low commodity prices. We’re already in a difficult farm economy and then the trade war started and that’s taking things from bad to worse.”

The Administration’s reckless tariffs are jeopardizing the livelihoods of American soybean farmers. Now our soybean farmers are losing out to Argentina—at the same time the Administration is giving Argentina a $20 billion bailout. https://t.co/SZB5uu7aGs

China has turned to soybeans from Argentine farmers even as the Trump administration telegraphs help for Argentina's economy. U.S. farmers have been left in the lurch.

Trump’s policies have been a “perfect storm of ugly” for farmers: health care costs are skyrocketing and tariffs are raising input costs while closing off markets. The admin shouldn’t give Argentina a $20 billion bailout when it’s further undercutting our farmers.

More than 1 in 4 farmers and ranchers get health insurance through the Affordable Care Act individual market. Their monthly premiums will more than double unless Congress extends the enhanced health care tax credits.

The administration’s chaotic tariffs are making American farmers’ livelihoods unsustainable. Without foreign markets, farmers aren’t able to sell millions of dollars of product. https://t.co/fgfIjx4L65

Six months after the president’s “Liberation Day” tariffs and weeks from the Nov. 10 White House cutoff for a trade pact between the two countries, U.S. soybean farmers are learning that China — long...

48 years ago today, President Carter signed the law that created SNAP, which has helped families across the country keep food on the table. As grocery prices continue to climb, Republicans’ Big Beautiful Betrayal is cutting food assistance programs these families count on.

The administration says they care about combating waste, fraud, and abuse. But instead of addressing these issues, they fired the cops on the beat and reduced funding for states to implement new fraud detection systems. From an inspector general report:

27% of farmers and ranchers get health insurance through the individual market. If Congressional Republicans refuse to join with us to extend the health care tax credit, these farmers will see their monthly premiums skyrocket.

Let’s be clear: Hunger doesn’t go away just because you stop measuring it. President Trump would rather cancel the annual hunger report than acknowledge that more kids are going to bed hungry because of his tariffs and cuts to food assistance.

On my 13-county rural economy tour, I visited Joel on his farm in Tyler. The tariffs are a gut punch for the soybean market. In Minnesota, over half of our soybeans are sold outside the U.S. Markets are drying up. They want trade and stable markets so they can sell their beans.

Talking to farmers in western Minnesota, who are being hit by “a perfect storm of ugly.” Markets are drying up because of tariffs and rural hospitals are closing because of cuts to health care. We’re fighting to stop the tariff chaos and protect rural farms.

A new outbreak of avian flu was reported at a turkey farm in Redwood County. As migratory bird season increases outbreaks, we must give producers and farmers the tools to stay safe, including an effective vaccine strategy for poultry and dairy cattle. https://t.co/JOh6Tjh9of

Nearly half a year after the state's last detection of the virus, avian influenza has been found in a southern Minnesota turkey flock, according to animal health officials.

I spoke to the National Grain and Feed Association’s board about the Grain Standards Act and the work I have been doing to help those affected by tariffs. We must continue to support our farmers and rural small businesses.

The elimination of the USDA's Local Food Purchase Assistance Program will prevent thousands of food banks from accessing high-quality, locally sourced produce. We have called on the USDA to reverse this attack on food banks, farmers, and local markets. https://t.co/u3cAz9dSmn

At a time when farmers are dealing with challenging weather and increasing input costs, tariffs are hurting American agriculture. Farmers are set to lose out on billions in soybean sales alone.
