The Vacant Rental Improvement Program is designed to put empty rental units back online by providing grants to small local landlords. This key part of my housing plan brought $10.5 million in state funding back to Buffalo to help local organizations combat the housing crisis.

GM has been a major part of our local economy for nearly a century. It's great to see their commitment to the region continue with an investment of $888 million, which will keep hundreds of good-paying union jobs in WNY.
General Motors will invest $888 million in its Town of Tonawanda plant, to produce a new generation of V8 engines.

This year's NYS budget continues the state's investment into our SUNY schools, and Buffalo is fortunate to have a true flagship university in @UBuffalo in our region.
SUNY is ready to meet the moment. At the 2025 State of the University Address, @SUNYChancellor outlined new efforts to uplift students, bolster life-changing research, develop inclusive environments, and foster economic growth across NYS. ๐ฐ

I commend Governor Hochul for her action today to formally apologize on behalf of the people of New York State for the atrocities committed at the Thomas Indian School.

It's great to see Enterprise Folding Box Co. - a local company for over 60 years - expanding and keeping jobs in the City of Buffalo. I wish them luck as they begin construction this summer.
Pizza-box maker Enterprise Folding Box Co., a stalwart presence in the city's Riverside neighborhood, is hoping to expand its physical operation by constructing a new warehouse addition on the site of a former adjacent structure that burned down in 2021.
