The Vacant Rental Improvement Program is designed to put empty rental units back online by providing grants to small local landlords. This key part of my housing plan brought $10.5 million in state funding back to Buffalo to help local organizations combat the housing crisis.

Buffalo is a welcoming and diverse community. As we begin this week-long celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, we are keenly aware that other places around the country are not as welcoming, and in some places, pride flags have actually been banned.

Today, we kicked off the start of Pride Week in Buffalo with the raising of the pride flag in Niagara Square!

With $114 million in new funding for SUNY, our schools are poised to join the nation's most cutting edge educational institutions over the next few years. Thank you to SUNY Chancellor King for your continued leadership in the face of federal opposition to higher education.
