Happy to see affirmation of strong action from @s_guilbeault 🇨🇦.On the ground, @CAPE_ACME is hoping to see strong support for a full lifecycle approach, a cap on plastic production, and a strong list of chemicals of concern that we know impact health included in the treaty.
We have two days to deliver the world first treaty to end #plasticPollution by 2040. #Canada is determined to work with everyone to secure an ambitious deal. Find my statement below:

3 days into INC-5, Indigenous Peoples were given 2 minutes to speak in the plenary. It took 20 minutes of asking, pleading, demanding. When they were given the floor, they weren't recognized as sovereign, or rights holders- just observers. "A weak treaty is a failed treaty" ✊🏾
