Officer Mello took his lunch break to lace em up with some future Seekonk NHL’ers. FYI, Officer Mello plays forward for our own Seekonk PD/FD hockey team and is one of our best skaters. But that’s not saying much either. 🤷🏻♂️🏒🥅
We would like to thank the 4-12 shift of the East Providence Police Department who stopped by to offer condolences and place Flowers around Officer DeForitis’ cruiser. We value our friendship with our brothers and sisters next door and we were very moved by this gesture.
Huge thanks to
@TSmoothieCafe
for delivering these amazing smoothies to our department. In stressful times it’s things like this that can go a long way to lift our spirits. Thanks for thinking of us!
Meet newly sworn Officers Schoonmaker and Valderrama. They hit the streets this week and are going through several weeks of field training. Welcome to the family and stay safe!
We are saddened to hear of the tragic incident that took place today at the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde Texas. As a precaution,we will have an increased presence at all Seekonk Schools for the near future. There is no threat to Seekonk. This is only a precautionary measure.
Zuzo enjoyed The Fourth of July and now has some great news. He has fully recovered and has been cleared for duty! Good news for most. Bad news for some. GO GET EM “Z”!!
Mattis’ shows Zuzo is not the only dog in town. Today Mattis found 15 bags of Heroin with over $2,000 in cash along with other drug distribution materials during a traffic stop! These dogs are killing it!! TWO UNDER ARREST! Way to go Mattis and Sergeant Laprade!

Mattis was caught Trick or Treating early today at the East Providence Car Wash. We’ll let it slide this time. It’s only one day early. His costume needs work though.
Cardi’s Furniture has been producing masks during the Covid-19 Pandemic and today we were the latest recipients of their caring and dedication to the community. Thank you so much for helping out area public safety.
Thank you for the outpouring of concern for our officer involved in the incident this afternoon. We wanted you to know that he was released from the hospital quickly and is ready for his next shift. 💙
A special thank you to Paul and Karlene Grady for donating this beautiful tribute photo of K9 Kilo. This was presented to the department at tonight’s Selectmen Meeting.

Hey! It’s Power Puppy Weekend. Well, actually that doesn’t exist. We just wanted an excuse to post puppy pics of our favorite pups. Mattis left, Zuzo right.
Mattis has had busy last two days. Two days ago he tracked and located a suicidal female with a serious self inflicted injury. She is now safe. Last night he tracked a motor vehicle Breaking and Entering suspect who also had warrants. Keep up the good work, Pal!
Today is Officer David Snape’s last day after 41 years of exemplary service as a Seekonk Police Officer. If you see Dave on his final tour, please say congratulations. Best of luck in your retirement, Dave!!
A token of appreciation was given to one of our officers today. The fact that the officer took the time to send this to be posted shows how much these type of things mean to us. Thank you!
Zuzo cooled off in the pool today to get ready for a 16 hour shift tonight. He can’t be everywhere tonight though so remember to lock those doors. It’s time for the

I was approached this morning by a couple people who wanted to share this photo with us. They gathered this morning to pray for police and wanted to offer their support and prayers. It was a beautiful morning, a beautiful sentiment and a pleasure to meet you. Thank you!
Mattis has made it clear that he is seeking a promotion. Mattis, unfortunately the position is filled at the moment and there is a promotional process in place for these type of situations.

A new chapter for The Seekonk Police Department began yesterday with the Installation of Chief Frank John. We look forward to serving under his leadership and continuing the tradition of having our department remain a progressive law enforcement agency.
The Seekonk Police Honor Guard had the honor of presenting our nations colors at The Pawtucket Red Sox Opening Day Ceremony. They joined several other departments from the area on the field. This has been a yearly tradition for our Honor Guard for quite some time.
Another win for “Z”. Sgt. Fundakowski w/ Zuzo were recently called to assist Attleboro PD with a search for a Breaking and Entering Suspect. K9 Zuzo followed the bad guy’s scent from the loc of the crime right to the residence of the suspect. Reminder to all....WE’RE STILL HERE!
NO HAUL TOO SMALL:
Zuzo sniffed a small amount of cocaine from a vehicle as a result of a traffic stop last night. That stuff is still out there but so are our K9s! Nice work. Filet or Tomahawk steak? 🥩
Chief Mace Ret.
@MaccMace

Officer Dyer captured these two fugitives after they escaped from their owners. He was happy to return them safely to their family with the help of our Animal Control Officer. 🐶
Every year, Young’s Catering delivers a complete Thanksgiving Day Meal to the troops working on the holiday. They continued that tradition for today. It’s not easy having to work the Holiday but gestures like this make it a lot easier. Thank you again! 🦃

In stressful times a sense of humor is very important. We thank the Fire Department for a good laugh this weekend. No one fell for it in case you were wondering. 🍩😁
