Interesting exchange in the house between Blanchet and Carney. Blanchet doesn't like the accounting on the "tax credits" for clean energy Carney finishes with "The truth is that right now Quebec is using 350,000 barrels of oil a day, so carbon has to be captured for the

Obvious question… Did the contractor offer kickbacks or use other illegal means to secure the contract to build electric ferries for Toronto?

I sat at the old Apple headquarters and across the street in the “secret” buildings and met with teams on the AI world we are now in. I showed them they have a gap in thinking and planning. I showed them a path to build an “AI OS”. Steve would never, ever have let this happen.

I don't think Canadians realize just how much money we are wasting paying interest on our debt. The federal government alone is spending $55.6 BILLION of your tax dollars every year just on interest. That's more than we collect in GST. That's more than we spend on health care

Some BC First Nations want to block Alberta's exports from reaching tidewater ports. Imagine if Alberta took the same position on BC's exports through Alberta? Every train or truck leaving BC headed to Toronto, Chicago, or the Maritimes must roll through Alberta—making Alberta

What a pathetic joke and rancid bunch the B.C. NDP are. They pretend there's a tanker ban on the B.C. coast. In fact, most days there's a massive oil tanker going down the coast from Alaska to USA. All we do is ban our Canadian oil there, crippling our prosperity.

Tonight, New Yorkers have shown us that bold socialist ideas can win. While we stare down one of the most harmful federal budgets in a decade, it's clear –– transformative policies are winning policies. It's time to build an NDP that champions them. https://t.co/RkpiL1P6yI

Team Canada 🙄 Shipping oil from the North BC Coast can and must be done safely and responsibly, generating great prosperity for all of Canada. Until you get that point, I will not be buying BC wines and will do my best to minimize purchases of anything from BC.

Can someone why distinguishing operating and capital expenditures matters in the context of govt finances? It makes sense in the private sector, because firms can sell capital assets to pay off debts. But govts can't and won't sell off public assets to pay off public debt
