Nobody likes mandates. But I fail to understand why healthcare and nursing home staff don’t feel morally obliged to be immune to COVID-19 in order to protect the people in their care. Get vaccinated!

May I please get 2 followers to copy and re-post this tweet? I'm trying to demonstrate that someone is always listening. #SuicidePrevention 1-800-273-8255 Just two. Any two. Copy, not retweet.

Did my part to protect myself, my community, & those hard-working health care workers from the flu. Thank you team @KDHE, the KS Medical Reserve Corps, & all who made it possible to host another successful State of Kansas employee drive-thru flu vaccine clinic. #KansasFightsFlu

At my HS reunion in Iowa, veterans were presented with quilts sewn by classmates. Surviving service members were given Quilts of Valor like mine here. Quilts of Honor were given to family members of those who gave their lives. Somber and celebratory, it was a very special time.

A terrific day at the annual Nicodemus Homecoming. Friendships, parades, pancakes, and, of course, remembrances. KDHE there with our mobile vaccination and testing. A good day.

A bright spot during the pandemic has been my conversations with curious Kansas kids. We've covered a lot of ground, but this is a first. A behind-the-scenes look at my interview with Dr. CeCe. Enjoy these outtakes, then watch the series: https://t.co/ZffYvDI7ad.

Had a special visitor today. We had a chat about COVID-19 — and many other topics. She even taught me how to Safety Dance. Stay tuned for my conversation with Dr. CeCe in an upcoming episode of Questions from Kids About COVID-19.

A beautiful day to go to the speedway for a very efficiently-run COVID-19 testing/vaccinating event. Plus, you can drive laps on the speedway! Check out our very cool mobile clinical labs. Thank you NASCAR, Speedway, WyCo, KU Health System and Kansas Army and Air National Guard.

It's been fascinating to hear what's been on the minds of kids during the pandemic. Georgia took it easy on me this week, but I've had some tough ones. Adults can learn a lot from the Questions from Kids series too. Watch it now: https://t.co/ZffYvDI7ad.

“... A lot of people got sick. The vaccine really helped to elevate the mood, but... we have a lot of built-up stress out there in our providers -- a lot of exhaustion, & that doesn’t go away overnight." Hear more from @SecNorman: https://t.co/NzxPZi8wFc.
