We worked to restore the focus of human services programs as enablers of independence, dignity, and work, taking advantage of one of the strongest labor markets our country has ever seen. We have delivered new access to treatment for those suffering from serious mental illness.

Our vision for healthcare was a patient-centric, affordable, personalized system. We moved toward paying for health and outcomes rather than sickness and procedures. We made health information personal and portable.

It has been the greatest professional privilege and honor of my life to serve as Secretary of @HHSGov. Leading the department during an unprecedented pandemic, we created a historic partnership, Operation Warp Speed, with @DeptofDefense, our scientists, and the private sector.

Today on #MLKDay we remember Dr. King's life and legacy of upholding the unalienable rights of all Americans. Let us honor his memory and commitment to service by reflecting on what we can do in our own way to serve our families, our neighbors, our communities, and our country.
