I wanted to paint the portrait of the “new ideal man”: not a virile or invincible figure, but a tender, vulnerable man, one who dares to admit his naïveté and his inner storms. Naïf de cœur is the idea that one can be at once sensitive, naïve, glamorous, and powerful.
