She gave a small nod, glancing towards the menu as well. "Carrot cake cupcakes are alright, if the place knows how to make them." She turned her gaze back to him, smiling politely.

He nods his head, glancing at the menu before back at her. "They can tend to be too sweet." He says as he then adjusts his glasses from the top of his head back over his eyes.
Her head tilted to the side, studying him as if she was trying to figure out his demeanor. "No, I cannot say that I have. I try to avoid such things." Weird words coming from someone owning a bakery, but true nonetheless. She did not eat baked goods unless she had to.
