Tice in total fantasy land on climate, net zero and energy. Green industries provide growth, jobs, energy security and lower prices. Money spent on decarbonising doesn't dissappear into thin air, it's investment in jobs and our national infrastructure #bbcqt

Has anyone worked out what the NI increase liability is for the public sector in Wales? Keen to understand how much of the £1.7bn extra funding will be heading straight back to HMRC.

Some of the last steam leaving no.4 I took a few moments on a bench to try to process the enormity of what was unfolding - I think that will take a while longer. The skyline of the future will feature none of these structures, except the wind turbines. A new identity ahead..

To the left, a view of Mynydd Brombil, now home to renewable energy - the wind turbines overlooking the furnaces. This is the low carbon future industry we hope will replace some of the jobs lost.

There's a panoramic view from the riverbank. To the right, the famous 'three cranes', the unloaders that emptied the raw materials from the ships, two shown here. The last ship left in August, and the cranes are now static, arms raised in salute.

I went for a walk along the River Afan today, to watch the final moments of Blast Furnace 4. Here's the view across the river, Furnace 5, on the right had already been taken offline back in July. A plume of steam was rising from the top of no.4 as the last material was removed.
