@ScriptorRex Listen to this guy. Listen to the governments only!!! Keep sending your kids to school. Keep working and acting normal. And if you have a weak immune system or are old, then just die! Follow the advise of the professionals. Oh, and wash your hands. #coronavirusuk #COVID2019uk

@randomtweetor Er u have totally misunderstood my message. A lot of people are giving advice online that is actually making things worse I AM NOT saying 'just listen to the govt' Interesting that u jumped so far with this

@ScriptorRex But youโre giving advise to not give advise. This is advise which you can not give

@ScriptorRex Some of the worst advice - especially early on - came from doctors, the government, the CDC and even the WHO. There are people other than "medical professionals" who are giving great advice - even if it's simply to prepare for the worst. #preparedontpanic

@CircusBoy1 My tweet relates to the pseudoscience and nonsense memes I've been seeing relating to the virus There's no clout for you here I'm afraid

@ChrisMa62419589 @BorisJohnson That's exactly right if I tweet any medical advice don't listen because I don't know what I'm talking about. And Personally, I wouldn't take Johnson's advice on how to crack an egg nevermind anything related to my health

@DillyOld2 People are sharing incorrect advice on social media relating to the virus, all I'm saying is get ur advice from someone qualified not a Facebook meme Can't understand why that's so contraversial

@ScriptorRex Here's a (long) tweet translated by an italian epidemiologist from an account by one of the ICU surgeons in Italy. Hopefully, it'll be medical enough for you

@ScriptorRex @MickCarroll6 Itโs really bad on Facebook. So many stupid comments and armchair experts.

@ScriptorRex Yes, but on the other hand, those hashtags are links to unreliable advice about coronavirus! Linking to the experts like https://t.co/dhP3dJdAAI or @ECDC_EU and repeating what they say is valid. So is debating public policy. https://t.co/yYYFeSfjvu

@ScriptorRex The only advice IS up to the minute QUALIFIED medical advice from country standard institutions such as the NHS (UK) CDC (USA) etc, alongside trusted experts in the realms of relevant medical specialities.

@ScriptorRex Thank goodness. First intelligent comment on this story I've seen this morning. Astonishing the number of people who think they know more than the combined health experts of the world. Just shut up people and leave those toilet rolls on the supermarket shelves.

@ScriptorRex Ive heard some absolute rubbish from so called experts. For example the advice that its ok to be in a taxi with somebody with cv if its under 15 mins!

@ScriptorRex My 11yr old has complex heart and lung disease so I asked his hospital(St Thomas')for advice and they just said to follow NHS guidelines applicable for the general public but he's not like the general public!!

@ScriptorRex Doctors bury their mistakes ! You donโt need to be medically qualified to know that we are not taking this seriously! To many rediculous comments about it being no worse that the flu, take on the chin. #dadsarmy approach by our government is putting us in danger

@ScriptorRex True. Same applies to risk management and data science. Car mechanics aren't car insurance actuaries. Doctors are unqualified to give policy advice IMO. Unfortunately @MattHancock is and that's why we're going to look like Italy in 2 weeks and not Japan. Be like Japan.

@ScriptorRex Docs often get it wrong,. I was sent home after complaining of chest pain years ago. On the way back my lung collapsed and I had to call an ambulance! So no genius they are not always right!

@ScriptorRex Weโve seen where only listening to the professionals gets you in Italy. We do loads of responding but NO pre-emptive measures at all. And by the way, I saw people who spoke to their friends who are GPโs, and they also said in about 2 weeks we will be where Italy is now:
