Proud to join @Scranton_Police for this year’s #NationalNightOut. It was an honor to swear in our newest police officers and spend the evening with a community that continues to show up for our first responders. Together, we’re building a stronger, safer #Scranton 🇺🇸

I had a great time reading to some of our youngest residents at the Children’s Library! 📖. We read The Berenstain Bears: Mama for Mayor & Citizen Baby: My President. Each was a great reminder that leadership can start at any age. The future looks bright in #Scranton!

I wrote a letter to our representatives in Washington urging them to fight for the reinstatement of BRIC, and have met with staff from Sen. McCormick on the matter. We will also work on alternative funding options, as we are committed to getting relief for these families.

FEMA’s decision to end the BRIC program is unconscionable. The loss of $2.5 million in federal support undermines our ability to help property owners who lost everything during the devastating storm on September 9, 2023. 🔗

#Scranton 💙’s @PennStateSN . With 54% of students coming from Lackawanna County, losing this affordable college option would affect faculty and staff, area families, and our local economy.
