Everton Recruitment Target Scouting Thread 🔵 Hugo Bueno looks a strong LB option…But Malick Diouf might be an even better fit. Attack-minded, high crossing threat with the athletic profile and potential to develop into a long-term solution. Thread Below⬇️

Spurs fans leaving at half time says a lot about belief. My Spurs data post highlighted real concerns about the trajectory. Slide continues-final day vs Everton could have relegation and Europe on the line-complete reversal of what many expected for the two clubs this season.
Relegation talk around Spurs sounds ridiculous…until you look at the numbers. Since Christmas: • 10 game winless run • Bottom-table form • ~1.2 xG created • Too easy to play through History doesn’t save teams. Form does. Right now, Spurs look vulnerable.

Palace dominant at 1–3. Van de Ven’s red card shifts the game state, but Spurs were already struggling with Palace possession and final 3rd threat. Wharton outstanding - finding space in the half spaces and progressing play with excellent passing. Palace clinical.

❕𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡: • Man City 2-2 Forest • Fulham 0-1 West Ham Tottenham now sit only a point above relegation, with their game in hand coming against Crystal Palace [H] tomorrow.

Summerville should be a serious Everton target this summer. Still plenty to do for the goal - real individual quality. Direct, explosive, strong 1v1 and a genuine goal threat from wide areas - something Everton lack in depth. The kind you move early for in the summer.
Crysencio Summerville breaks the deadlock in front of the West Ham fans 💥 A moment Bernd Leno won’t want to see back 📺 @tntsports & @discoveryplusUK

Everton 2–0 Burnley. Controlled rather than dominant - 56% possession, 14–5 shots, 1.10–0.79 xG. Threat came in spells (especially first half & set pieces). The second goal settled it. Professional win, still another level to find in possession.
𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝟐-𝟎 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐥𝐞𝐲 Everton get their first Premier League home win since 6 December. This was also their first win of the season against promoted opposition at the fifth attempt.

Professional win last night and Everton building momentum. With pressure on every game now, Moyes can sense a real opportunity for Europe next season. Trusting experience over development players - even Armstrong - hopefully pays off. At this stage, results come first.

Verdict A complete advanced-midfield display. Technical quality, work rate, and attacking output — finished with a goal. Influential across the full 90.

Performance Notes Timing and movement into advanced areas stood out Supporting attacking patterns and progressing possession through carries and quick combinations One misplaced pass was only the significant error in an otherwise very clean performance https://t.co/I3AasDalbe
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall doubles Everton's lead with a sumptuous finish 💫 @tntsports & @discoveryplusUK

Everton 1–0 up. Still need to improve in possession Patterson brings better overlap balance than O'Brien. Rohl for Gana adds quicker progression & combinations. Crossing target. McNeil not stretching Burnley or isolating defenders-George/Dibling could offer more natural width.

Everton need to raise the tempo and get Burnley moving. They look far too comfortable in their defensive shape. Overlaps aren’t developing and wide players aren’t stretching the pitch enough. Need more attacking patterns like Ndiaye’s run across the line to disrupt the structure

With kick-off approaching, Burnley’s defensive structure is the key tactical question for Everton. Full opposition preview below ↓
Everton vs. Burnley – Opposition Preview Burnley is now defending in a 3-4-2-1 → 5-4-1 block under Parker. Compact, narrow, and difficult to progress through. Here’s where Everton could find the advantage ↓

Stylistic Matchup Tempo vs. Compactness Burnley want a controlled game played in front of their block Everton need width, switches, and circulation to disrupt it If Everton moves the ball quickly, spaces should appear. If not, Burnley’s structure becomes difficult to break.

Key Tactical Detail Burnley’s midfield four defend extremely narrow. This creates potential access: •Outside the midfield line •Around wing-backs •Wide half-spaces Everton need quick circulation to shift the block. Slow possession favours Burnley.

Everton Attacking Routes The clearest route for Everton may be stretching Burnley horizontally. • Quick switches of play • Full-back overlaps • Wide combinations Burnley’s narrow midfield can leave space outside the block. Ball speed will be important.
