The 4 total misses format in the vertical jumps at the European Team Champs is an abomination. Totally unnecessary. Adds no value and simply creates confusion and frustration. No one wins - athletes suffer and spectators have no idea what’s happening. Needs changing immediately.

For a period of time, the numbers of pole vaulters hitting these benchmark performances were very comparable, but now;.34 women @ 4.80m or higher.29 men @ 6.00m or higher. Are these performances comparable?. WRs;.Men - 6.27m.Women - 5.06m (-1.21m). Many claim a 1.10m differential.

Following Renaud’s mind blowing 17 year span of 580+ jumps, yesterday Tina Sutej (36) jumped 470 in Ostrava - 12 years after her 1st 470 jump!. Only 3 women in history have a longer span of 470+ jumps - Yelena, Jenn and Holly - all 14 year spans!. Incredible longevity from all💥.
