UPDATE: The No Travel Advisory for the Grand Forks area has been lifted.

‼️ UPDATE: The Travel Alert has been lifted for Fargo. Grand Forks remains under a No Travel Advisory. Roads are still a mess in eastern North Dakota and Lakes Country, though, so take is slow.

A No Travel Advisory remains in place to start the day, that includes the Grand Forks area. Fargo is under a Travel Alert. Things should improve throughout the day, but if you have to travel, take it slow. We have the latest road reports this morning on First News.

‼️ 7:42 am: The No Travel Advisory now includes Jamestown and Valley City.

‼️ 7:09 am: The No Travel Advisory has been expanded. It now includes Bismarck. I-94 from Jamestown to Valley City is also icy.

‼️ Classes and activities are cancelled for Grand Forks Public Schools and Grand Forks Air Force Base Schools today as well.

‼️BREAKING: UND in Grand Forks will close at 8 a.m. Tuesday, December 9 due to anticipated icy and winter conditions with high winds. Officials will continue to monitor the weather and send an alert when campus will be reopened.
