I could not have been more shocked when I opened the package and saw GEM MINT - PSA 10 (POP 2)! The possibility honestly never even crossed my mind. Needless to say “I Will Always Love” it and the long journey to add it to my personal collection makes it that much more special.

Ever since I have been searching for another shot. I would estimate maybe five show up annually, but most are in rough condition. Earlier this year I found another nice copy I thought was worth taking a flyer on and I was just hoping it would come back PSA 9.

Unfortunately it was the only card from the submission encapsulated backwards and during the re-slab process the top was crimped, dropping it down to a PSA 3. To their credit PSA compensated me for the error, but it didn’t replace the top grade Dolly rookie I wanted for my PC.

It took months but one finally came available with a full deck and I sent a half dozen of the key cards to PSA for grading. To my extreme delight the Dolly came back a PSA 9, which at the time was top grade and no small feat considering those black back edges.
