Congratulations to the Ysleta HS Theatre Tribe on a SCRUMDIDDLYUMPTIOUS production of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”! Over 300 area elementary and middle school students came to YHS for the matinee performance. And the Oompa Loompas are Ysleta MS theatre students! 🍬 🍭 🍫

So happy to announce that Ysleta ISD was named a recipient of the C. Lee Turner Real Change Award from the Texas Theatre Adjudicators and Officials Organization (TTAO). This grant will allow us to create “real change” in our district theatre programs! Huzzah!

Bel Air High School and Hanks High School competed at the T-Bird Invitational this past weekend! Congrats to both groups who earned a finals placement, with Bel Air finishing 9th overall and Hanks finishing 2nd! Way to represent!

Congratulations to Zoe Martinez from @BelAirHigh for winning FIRST PLACE at the 2025 Congressional Art Competition, sponsored by Veronica Escobar and the EP Museum of Art. Her piece will be hung in the tunnel linking Capitol Hill and the Congressional offices in Washington, D.C.!
