When my current projects wrap up, I'm planning to start work on a small narrative pixel game, probably using GameMaker. I've wanted to build a "real" game for a long time, and this seems like the time to finally do it.

Just finished "The Unincorporated Man" by @dkollin and his brother Eytan. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the other books in the series. It's about a man who is cryonically frozen in the current times, gets revived 300 years in the future, and finds society.

Looks like I'll be saving lots of money in the future. In the last week I've tried spending money on two websites and "failed" three required CAPTCHAs in a row when trying to check out. When presented with the fourth CAPTCHA, I left the site.

My current client project is ending in about a month. If you know of anyone looking for a C# developer, please let me know. I generally do APIs and WPF, but have written a wide variety of programs in dozens of industries.

Starting a project for another client, so I finally took the time to rebuild my latest development computer with the broken registry. So far, so good. Since it has an RTX 3090, I want to install a local LLM for coding suggestions.

You can check out my Visual Studio extension for writing solution documents (LICENSE, README, etc.) at I want to do a bit more work on it, then make it available through the VS Extension Manager.

I finally figured out enough to begin writing the functionality for what I actually want the extension to do. It took way too long. I'll have to make a guide, and maybe make a video, to (hopefully) save the next VS extension writer a day of frustration.

Whoever created the code behind writing your own Visual Studio extensions clearly didn't want anyone to ever write their own extension.

Can anyone recommend a good AI tool to create icons for my apps and NuGet packages?. I only need this once every month or so, and would like to avoid yet another monthly subscription service that I rarely use.

Working on cleaning up and standardizing my GitHub repos (and the solutions in them). Right now, each repo has its own type of README file, build action, etc. Would like to get everything in the same place in each repo.

The secret to success in corporate software development is largely to be more creative at solving problems than the bureaucrats are at blocking you from solving problems.

Released Legba 2.0.0, my Windows desktop (WPF) app to manage LLM requests. This version includes the CodeBundler feature, to let you include C#, and XAML files in your request. It's available at:

Was working on my AI app to help with coding and had to tear it apart for a bit - preventing me from using it for coding help. It felt good when I could use it again to help me finish building it. It's kind of crazy building an app that helps you build itself.

I was planning to do a lot of work on Legba during my days off, but ended up mostly relaxing. But, I'm back to incorporating CodeBundler's features into it - along with some UI and workflow improvements. Should release 2.0.0 this week.

With .NET Aspire, I'm thinking it may not be worthwhile to do more work on my Robust API Template project. It may be better to focus on integrating AI tools into apps.

Wrapped up the workday and getting ready for the next five days off. Time for lots of coding on my personal projects (and a long list of errands).

Looking forward to an upcoming Azure AI project. It will find the correct category for lots of large blocks of text (can't go into more details, as it's for a client). Will probably use Azure AI Search, but have to test its accuracy. Should be fun. I can see lots of uses for.

Finished version 1.0.0 of CodeBundler, a new open-source app (WPF and command line) that consolidates .NET source code files (C# and VB) into a single file or string. It can use a solution file, project file, directory, or list of files as its input. It was created so I could.
