genuinely how terrifying must it be to be in mission control watching both propellant tank start forming melted holes in the middle of reentry and then seeing a sudden loss of LOX tank pressure, they had to be SWEATING

Its also worth noting, the Orion in that image was not fully fitted yet and was missing some padding and panels to covered up exposed structures
Yall are gonna hate me.. but idc what the American public say, Nostalgic dense packed 'analog' aesthetic will forever look cooler than plasticky bland futurism aesthetic

Yes, @KimKardashian, we’ve been to the Moon before… 6 times! And even better: @NASAArtemis is going back under the leadership of @POTUS. We won the last space race and we will win this one too 🇺🇸🚀 🎥: Hulu

Best SpaceX read in a hell kf a long time, please read it all it is genuinely incredible, THIS is what I was talking about a few weeks ago! we knew these things were taking place behind the scene Just SpaceX never talked about them in any detail past "oh yeah this is HLS and

I find it funny that the community started hating on him for making a 'snarky remark' whuch turned out that no.. he was actually just asking the question 💀 ya'll need to chill out before gunning at people
@mcrs987 @JordanE89X @michaelsrockets So, we have a little apples to oranges here… None the less, as I made clear from the start, SX’s engineers have done a masterful job of simplifying and integrating the fluid, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems into the body. Well done. Cleanest engine I’ve ever seen.

Turns out Flight 10 also used this sequence too (minus the engine out) I wonder then if it was provoked by B14s transfer tube failing during ignition and high AOA, and that this config puts less direct stress on the transfer tube further lowering chances of snapping?
Never really saw people talk about this, but interesting that they changed the startup sequence for the landing burn on Flight 11, wonder why since it was the last flight of Block 1 Booster and the Block 3 Booster can do simultaneous engine startup.. so why change it for 1

They have cut the back cover panels off Pad 1s tower in what looks like prep to replace the drawworks

seriously cool that Raptor and Superheavy can shut an engine down, spend the next few mins verifying whether its safe to try restarting again and go for it, no idea if Falcon has this ability for its return set of engines or not
